Day Trip

So went for a little day trip to Canberra yesterday. It was one of our first longish trips in the new car and it was luxurious compared to the Rangie! It's so nice to be able to have a normal conversation instead of yelling to each other over the roar of the engine. lol.

We stopped off at Murrumbateman, our traditional 'wee' stop...

and then hit the big smoke of Canberra!

We went to the Jewish centre to introduce ourselves and pick up a few things. It was so lovely being there! It's the closest synagogue to us and it's 2 1/2 hours away. We're hoping we might get over there once a month or so.

 Then we had a coffee and some lunch down on the lake. We skimmed stones and feed a local resident :)

finally we went and had a delicious dinner with our wonderful friends. Next time we see Pieter and Michelle they will be in their new place out on land like us :)
