Mobius Story.

some goings on

Jonah learned how to mow the lawn, Bridget did some tie-dying. We drove out to Goologong, played with kittens. The boys made wooden rifles and pistols and measured themselves on the kitchen floor :)

14/09/11

I am so busy with uni right now, don't have much time to write in the diary. But here are a few things going on that are worth noting;

  • Bridget got out her sewing machine and made herself a skirt (really pretty too!). She has asked me to buy some dye so she can tie dye a t-shirt. She has been playing with the kittens, reading lots and even talked a bit about why she likes MAry Grant Bruce's style of writing. She's reading Murderous Maths Desperate Measures, watching The Importance of Being Ernest and painting in the sun.
  • The boys and Jono made their own wooden guns. A rifle and a pistol each. Jonah used the saw for the first time.
  • We took a drive out to Goolagong last Shabbat, up through the Canimbla National Park.

Psalm 91

Preparing for Sukkot

So we decided yesterday to set up a sukkah in the 'forest' near the front of the property. Provided I'm not crazy with assignments coming out my ears (and if I start planning now it may be ok!) I hope to have a nicely decorated, peaceful and inviting little area that we can enjoy for the week. These are some ideas I have some across from the web;

A Mother in Israel

Juggling Frogs

Paper Craft from Chabad

for shabbat...

William posed for some golf shots...

and later on we drove up to the lookout...

and here is our new car :)

Cattens and Kitties

Charlie, who fell from the top of the haystack last week and we thought wouldn't live, is doing wonderfully well. Even though he was bleeding from his ears, he had no broken bits, only a bad concussion, praiseYHVH. After much prayer and extra goats milk he is almost completely back to normal :) They are 6 weeks old here, playing in the Shabbat morning sun.

01/09/11

We looked at the BBC's Day in Pictures. These are great for discussing things going on in the world, and just for general conversation starters. Today we talked about Sri Lanka and the cricket test match, buddhist monks and sharks in captivity :)

We read THIS STORY about how Ned Kelly's body has been found using DNA sampling and matching it with a live known relative. Pretty amazing stuff!

Jonah has been working out how much a bar of gold weighing 400oz. would cost in various currencies. He looked up wiki and used the currency converter on my google home page.

William has been wearing his chef outfit all day playing with the kitchen toys. Currently he is playing golf with Jono in it :) Jono mapped out a golf course for the boys.

going private...

I'm going to set this blog back to private, so if anyone wants to keep reading please let me know in the comments and I'll add you :)
